Amit Shah Launches 24x7 Manimajra Water Supply Project

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 24x7 water supply project in Manimajra, Chandigarh, marking a significant step towards improving the region's water infrastructure. The project aims to provide uninterrupted water supply to the residents of Manimajra, enhancing their quality of life and addressing longstanding water scarcity issues.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Shah emphasised the government's commitment to ensuring basic amenities for all citizens. He highlighted that the 24x7 water supply project is part of a broader initiative to upgrade urban infrastructure and improve essential services. "Access to clean and continuous water supply is a fundamental right, and this project will ensure that the residents of Manimajra do not face water shortages," he said.

The Manimajra water supply project is designed to provide a reliable and consistent water supply to over 35,000 households in the area. The project includes the installation of advanced water metres, a state-of-the-art distribution network, and a monitoring system to ensure efficient water management and reduce wastage. The initiative also incorporates measures for water conservation and rainwater harvesting to sustain the water supply in the long term.
