Mahindra Logistics Unveils State-of-the-Art Warehousing Hub in Phaltan

Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) marked a significant milestone on Tuesday with the inauguration of its cutting-edge warehousing facility in Phaltan, near Pune. Spanning an impressive 6.5 lakh sqft, this facility, developed in two phases, is set to become a key asset in Mahindra Logistics? extensive network of multi-client facilities nationwide.

Strategically positioned to serve key customers in the automotive OEM and components sectors, the Phaltan warehouse is poised to play a crucial role in managing inbound logistics for manufacturing and distribution solutions. Covering 25 acres, it represents a strategic addition to Mahindra Logistics? infrastructure.

The initial phase, covering 3.5 lakh sqft, is anticipated to be operational by the end of 2024, with the facility already contracted to a manufacturing customer. This customer plans to leverage the space as their national logistics center, with operations commencing in Q3 2024-25.

As one of the largest warehouses in the region among logistics service providers, the facility adheres to Mahindra Logistics Ltd sustainability standards. These standards encompass decarbonization, renewable power usage, green warehousing practices, and active community development. The establishment of this facility is expected to create over 500 job opportunities in the region.

Mahindra Logistics, along with its partners, is committed to investing Rs 170 crore across multiple phases for the development of the new facility and associated infrastructure. The company envisions this expansion as a strategic move to enhance its multi-client warehousing network throughout India.

In a statement, Mahindra Logistics highlighted the importance of the Phaltan facility in meeting rising demand and expanding their capabilities. The facility is designed to integrate seamlessly with the national network of multi-client facilities, express, and full truckload operations, thereby providing enhanced reach and service levels to clients. It reflects the company's dedication to delivering world-class, technology-driven solutions and aligns with their vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
