Planet Smart City signs agreement to acquire Politecna Europa

Planet Smart City signed an exclusive agreement for the acquisition of Politecna Europa, which is a company specialising in architectural and engineering designs.

The agreement solidifies Planet Smart City’s place as an international business having expertise in the application of proptech and Environment Social Governance (ESG) principles to their large-scale projects.

The specialist knowledge of the two companies shall be applied to the creation of intelligent neighborhoods and homes through an increase in their efficiency and maximising the user experience of residents.

Planet Idea, Planet Smart City’s Competence Centre, and Politecna Europa are involved in activities pointing in this direction. Planet Idea designs innovative solutions in various fields which include social innovation, technological systems, environment, planning, and architecture.

The solutions are integrated into real estate projects carried out by Planet Smart City in Italy, India, Brazil, and the US, along with supporting consultancy services to various third-party real estate developers.

An interdisciplinary team of Planet Idea already includes engineers, architects, and urban planners, along with digital transformation and social innovation specialists, working together at the Competence Centre in Turin.

Politecna Europa specialises in project management activities in the structural, architectural, and industrial design in the civil as well as the infrastructure sector.

The company is involved in innovative activities across Italy, Switzerland, Oman, and France, leveraging a team of more than 100 engineers and architects.
