Anil Swarup: Mumbai did it… yet again

Mumbai’s first Covid wave, which started in March 2020, started to wane in September 2020 and by the end of December it was as good as over. However, team Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) was certain about the second wave hitting Mumbai after a couple of months. Knowing this, the MCGM started preparing for the second wave and launched various campaigns in the city to make citizens aware about the situation and educate them about the Dos and Don'ts.

Anil Swarup, who has served as the head of the Project Monitoring Group (PMG), which is currently under the Prime Minister’s Office, in this article, outlines how the MCGM rose to the occasion and effectively controlled the spread of Covid-19 in such a densely populated city.
