Five proposals recommended for nod

The Public-Private-Partnership Appraisal Committee has assessed five proposals in the port industry which will soon be recommended for nod by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.

The projects are likely to create an additional capacity of 150 mmtpa with an investment of about Rs 17,630 crore. The proposals that have been evaluated comprise the development of the fourth container terminal at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis; development of container terminal at Ennore Port; development of multipurpose cargo at Mumbai Port Trust; development of mega container terminal at Tuna Tekra at Kandla Port on build, operate and transfer basis; and development of container terminal at Diamond Harbour at Kolkata Port Trust.
