Skywalk linking New Delhi Rly Station & metro stations to open soon

On Thursday, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials told the media that to promote smooth connectivity between New Delhi railway station and adjacent metro stations on the yellow metro line and the Airport Express Line, a dedicated skywalk is all set to open soon for public use.

The art skywalk, which has been built by DMRC in partnership with Northern Railways, is all set to be opened to the general public shortly.

DMRC announced that the construction work on the dedicated skywalk is nearing completion and will be opened shortly to the public.

A dedicated skywalk, being built by DMRC in association with Northern Railway, for rendering seamless connectivity between one of the busiest hubs of New Delhi Railway station, and the metro station of New Delhi on the Yellow Line and Airport Express Line is almost over and is going to be thrown open for public shortly.

The skywalk will assist in streamlining the traffic flow on the Ajmeri Gate side of the railway station via multiple entry, exit points with the provision of six escalators.

This newly-built skywalk is an extension of the foot over bridge (FOB) inside the railway station and links the Ajmeri Gate side of the station with the New Delhi metro stations of Yellow Line and Airport Line, comprising the multi-level parking side, across Bhavbhuti Marg through multiple entry and exit points.
