Minister: Bhubaneswar-Cuttack metro rail project to continue

According to Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushnachandra Mohapatra, work on the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Metro Rail Project will continue to increase connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. According to Mohapatra, the state financial situation will be examined, and if assistance from the federal government is needed, it will be requested.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has been awarded the Metro train project. We'll talk about how the job will get done throughout the next wet season. We'll also examine the state budget's current situation. If necessary, we will ask the federal government for assistance. We think the federal government would provide support for the state's growth since we have a double-engine government in place and the prime minister has a soft spot for Odisha," Mohapatra continued.

Notably, previous Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the metro train project connecting the twin towns of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on January 1, 2023, on Odisha Dibas.
