Kolkata metro explores new route: Noapara to Dum Dum Cantonment

The city's Metro system may soon introduce an additional route, with plans to initiate commercial services between Noapara and Dum Dum Cantonment stations along the Noapara-Bimanbandar stretch by March. Kolkata Metro Railway's General Manager, P Uday Kumar Reddy, conducted an inspection of the Yellow Line stretch between Noapara and Dum Dum Cantonment. The state government has reportedly assured the clearance of these encroachments on Jessore Road by the end of January. Following the inspection, the general manager also inaugurated a Crew Lobby at the TSS Traction Sub Station Building at Noapara Station yesterday.
