Cuttack railway station concludes second entry, circulating area

Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has laid the foundation stone of the station's second entry and circulating areas of the Cuttack railway station.

With this railway development project, passengers will have access to many benefits, including wider approach roads to the railway, better parking facilities, pickup and drop-off services, terminal building with ticket counters, escalators, lift, lounge, restaurant etc. Apart from this, Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) trains have been flagged off from Bhubaneswar railway station.

The Minister of Railways and education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, flagged off the Puri–Hatia–Puri Tapaswini Express with LHB coaches. The inaugural run of the train was from Bhubaneswar railway station. This new train will have comfortable seats, aesthetic modular interiors, enhanced safety, including CCTV surveillance cameras, fire retardant materials, among others.

The Khurda Road division of Bhubaneswar railway station is certified as an Eat Right Station, as per the East Coast Railways. The certificate is for providing high-quality, nutritious food to the passengers. The certificate was granted after the conclusion of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) empanelled Third-Party Audit Agency with a rating between 1-5.

The railway station ranked 4th, which shows exemplary efforts by the Indian Railways at the Bhubaneswar railway station in ensuring safe and hygienic food. The FSSAI certificates are provided to the catering stalls at the railway station. Besides, the vendors also have medical health fitness certificates.
