Chennai Metro Completes Grade Separator in Phase II Corridor 4

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has completed the construction of a grade separator between Mullaithottam and Karayanchavadi stations in Corridor 4 of its Phase II project. Spanning 26.1 km, this corridor connects Light House station to Poonamallee depot. With the first leg of Phase II operations set to begin between Poonamallee depot and Porur Junction by December 2025, CMRL has been accelerating civil construction to meet the deadline. The grade separator work, undertaken in different stretches to ease traffic congestion, marked a key milestone with the completion of the Mullaithottam-Karayanchavadi section. (dtnext)
