Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is one of the largest and most respected companies in India's private sector. The company has an international presence, with a global spread of offices. Among its most recent big-ticket contracts bagged is the Rs 2,989-crore order to erect Sardar Patel´s Statue of Unity in central Gujarat. Some of the company´s many ongoing projects include the Riyadh Metro in Saudi Arabia and the Doha Metro in Qatar.

L&T´s standalone revenue in 2013-14 witnessed an impressive increase of 11.82 per cent to Rs 65,547 crore while its net profit was up by 1.25 per cent to Rs 6,126.19 crore from Rs 6,050.81 crore in the previous year.
