Rs 70,000 Crore Road Projects in Delhi to Ease Traffic

Work on projects worth Rs 700 billion is currently underway in Delhi and its surrounding areas aimed at constructing roads, highways, and expressways to alleviate traffic congestion, as announced by the Union Minister. Speaking at an event, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways emphasized the urgent need for infrastructure development to provide relief to commuters struggling with persistent traffic jams. He noted, "Today, technology is changing very fast, and knowledge is power," underscoring the importance of innovation in modern transportation.

In a significant move toward sustainability, the Minister highlighted that the ministry is utilizing waste from landfills in Delhi for road construction. This initiative not only addresses waste management issues but also promotes eco-friendly practices within the construction industry.

Looking to the future, the Minister asserted that hydrogen-run vehicles represent a promising solution to combat pollution caused by fossil fuels. He called for collective responsibility, urging citizens to be socially responsible in their choices and actions.

Moreover, the Minister expressed his dedication to social service, stating, "I focus more on social service than on politics," reflecting a commitment to improving the quality of life for the residents of Delhi and beyond.
