Nitin Gadkari to survey MP stretch of Mumbai-Delhi expressway

Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will inspect the Madhya Pradesh stretch of the under-construction Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai expressway of 8-lane in Indore, on September 16.

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) official said that the project is expected to complete in November next year at an estimated cost of Rs 8,437 crore, comprising a total distance of 245 km in Madhya Pradesh which will pass through Mandsaur, Ratlam, and Jhabua.

He said that the construction of the 106 km road is already finished, out of 245 km, and the remaining work will be finished by November 2022. For the project, some revenue land of 2,674 hectares and forest land of 217 hectares were acquired in the three Madhya Pradesh districts.

The official said in the Madhya Pradesh three districts, the 8-lane Mumbai-Delhi expressway will have 214 bridges,100 small and big underpasses, 511 culverts, and seven toll booths, with passenger amenities being built at 12 places.
