These infrastructure projects will need an investment of about Rs 11,311 crore. Indore and neighbouring areas have Rs 3,500 crore worth of these projects.

The event is being planned together by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and Madhya Pradesh PWD.

Among the significant projects is the four-lane road widening of Gwalior-Jhansi block, Bhopal-Biaora block (Mubarakpur-Biaora), Jhansi-Khajuraho block, Mohgan-Khawasa block, Bamidha-Satna block two-lane and development of Shujalpur-Ashta block two-lane road with paved shoulder.

He will lay the foundation stones of 21 road projects, covering the four-lane road widening of Dewas-Ujjain block, Balwara-Dhanganv along with the development of a bridge on Narmada river, Dhangaon-Borgaon block, Rewa-Bela block, Bamidha-Khajrao, Sagar-Mohari block, along with four-lane road widening of the remaining part of Nauradehi Sanctuary, Machaliya Ghat, Madhav National Park and construction of two-lane with a paved shoulder on Satna-Maihar block and Ujjain-Jhalawar block.

He will ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government to form a multi-modal logistics centre in Indore’s Betma tehsil. In a move to expand the project, 150 acres of land has been made available and later, a similar amount of land will be obtained to satisfy future demands while the planned multi-mode logistics hub will also be connected with rail transport by laying a railway line from the nearby station.

The Minister will review the under-construction eight-lane Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway in Ratlam.

The project of Rs 8,437 crore, which will pass via Mandsaur (over 102km), Ratlam (90km) and Jhabua (52km), including a total distance of approximately 245 km in Madhya Pradesh, is to be completed in November 2022.
