Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway 50% Done, Set to Open in 2025

The new 63-km-long expressway, designed to feature six lanes, is anticipated to establish a crucial link between Lucknow, the state capital, and Kanpur, a city renowned for its vibrant industrial sector. This major infrastructure project is projected to considerably enhance logistical efficiency by cutting the travel time between these two cities from the current 2 hours to just 45 minutes.

Furthermore, the expressway will be distinguished by its inclusion of several intersections, which will provide improved access to approximately 41 villages situated along the route between Lucknow and Kanpur. This development is expected to benefit local communities by facilitating easier and quicker connectivity to the larger cities.
