Jaipur Development Authority to develop five 200 ft roads to ease traffic

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) intends to build five 200 ft roads in the city to relieve traffic congestion on arterial roads such as the Gopalpura bypass, New Sanganer, and Ajmer Road.

More than 100 colonies, including the Privthi Raj Nagar scheme, will have direct connectivity as a result of the move.

The executive committee of JDA also agreed to compensate landowners whose property will be acquired to build these missing links.

According to the plan, between Gopalpura Bypass and Diggi Malpura Road, a 200 ft wide road called Vande Mataram Marg will be constructed.

The road is 8 km long in total, with the JDA having completed construction on 6 km of it.

The process of acquiring land from farmers will begin in the remaining 2 km. Farmers are expected to come forward to surrender their land now that the decision has been made to provide prompt compensation.

Residents of approximately 50 to 60 colonies will have direct access to the Kalyanpura railway overbridge once the Vande Mataram road is operational. The civic body will build a second road that will run parallel to Vande Mataram Marg. It will run from JDA's West Way Height Scheme on Ajmer Road to Diggi Malpura Road, passing through Gate No 3 of Muhana Mandi.

The upcoming road will make life easier for the residents of approximately 40 colonies. The first and second roads will be connected by a 200 ft third sector road.

This 7 km long road will connect Golyawas Circle to the Ring Road via Journalist Colony. Similarly, 200-200 ft fourth and fifth sector roads will connect the first and second roads at various points.

According to an official, the construction of a road connecting Goliawas Circle to the Ring Road via Patrakar Colony will provide direct connectivity to residents of three dozen colonies.
