Rs 178.65 Bn Supplementary Budget to Push Power, Infrastructure
With focus on power sector and infrastructure development, the Yogi Adityanath govt tabled its second supplementary budget of this fiscal worth Rs 178.65 billion. This includes fresh proposals worth Rs 7.9 billion. The Yogi government had presented its main budget over Rs 7.36 trillion in Feb this year. 18,714 Km Highways Constructed Under Bharatmala Pariyojana
Highway projects covering a total length of 26,425 km have been awarded and 18,714 km have been constructed as of October 31, 2024, under the Bharatmala Pariyojana scheme, the Parliament was informed. Bharatmala Pariyojana was approved by the government of India in 2017 covering a length of 34,800 km to improve connectivity and reduce logistic cost in the country.
