Rajasthan govt plans to develop 23 old airstrips on PPP mode

According to Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh, the Rajasthan government intends to renovate 23 outdated airstrips through a public-private partnership so that chartered and smaller flights can land there. He urged all attendees of the G20 Tourism Expo in Jaipur to return as "ambassadors of Rajasthan tourism" in his speech.

According to Singh, "under the direction and supervision of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, we are intending to bring out 23 old airstrips on a PPT (public-private partnership) manner where chartered flights connection may be supplied immediately.

Singh also holds the portfolio of civil aviation in the state cabinet.
