Projects worth Rs 42 billion launched in Haryana

Projects worth Rs 42.76 billion have been reportedly laid by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal. The Chief Minister has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of as many as 209 new projects in different districts of the state. 

63 projects worth Rs 10.10 billion have been reportedly inaugurated, while foundation stones for nearly 46 others projects worth Rs 32.65 billion have been laid. Among the other projects, Mewat Feeder Canal Project of Irrigation Department amounting to Rs 6.33 billion has also been inaugurated. 

Laying of foundation stones of projects amounting to more than Rs 1 billion, reportedly, included modernisation of Dahar Sugar Mill in Panipat at a cost of Rs 3 billion, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department’s project of four-laning of road from Karnal Chirao Mor to Kaithal costing Rs 1.75 billion, the Integrated City Operated Platform Project in Faridabad of Urban Local Bodies Department costing Rs 1.59 billion, Civil Aviation Department’s project of Aviation Hub Phase-2 at Hisar costing Rs 1.56 billion.

Other projects such as Higher Education Department’s project of establishing Sanskrit University at Mundri of Kaithal at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion and establishing Dental college in the campus of Shaheed Hassan Khan Mewati Government Medical College at Nalhar (Nuh) at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion and Public Health Engineering Department’s drinking water project at Bhalkhi of district Mahendragarh costing Rs 1.147 billion were also inaugurated.
