Navi Mumbai Airport attains 17.85 per cent of civil progress: CIDCO

According to the City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the project's nodal agency, 17.85 per cent of civil progress had been made on the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport as of the first week of November. The project has made a financial progress of 18.27 percent.

According to CIDCO, 50 per cent of total work has been completed in terms of rock-cutting and site-filling. Filling work on the south runway is nearly finished, and granular sub base laying is set to begin next week. Furthermore, hill-cutting for the terminal building footprint area has been completed, 95% of excavation for the basement/foundation has been completed, and the first mega-column footing was cast on November 2.

Meanwhile, blasting and excavation works for Multi Level Car Park (MLCP), Central Utility Plant building and Navi Mumbai International Airport project office is also in progress.
