General manager of Pune airport to look after upgradation work

Former airport director of Goa, Gagan Malik, has been promoted to general manager of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and posted at Pune international airport in Lohegaon.

He said he would look into the upcoming new projects for the upgradation of the Pune airport, including the new terminal building and multilevel car parking. The airport will provide the best amenities to the people of Pune.

The multilevel car parking facility will be completed by July this year, and the new terminal building by next year in January.

The Pune airport expansion project includes constructing a new terminal building at Rs 400 crore, a multilevel car parking facility for Rs 120 crore and a new cargo complex at around Rs 300 crore. The new terminal building is constructing over 40,000 sq m area on the eastern side of the existing terminal building in the airport.
