Cabinet approves Rs 28.69 billion for Varanasi airport

The Union Cabinet has approved a Rs 28.69 billion proposal for the expansion of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The project includes constructing a new terminal building, extending the apron and runway, creating a parallel taxi track, and other related works, according to I&B Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
