Vedanta Aluminium earns 7th BIS certification

Vedanta Aluminium, India?s largest aluminium producer, announced that the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has certified its 12 mm wire rods, produced at its Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) facility in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The newly certified 12 mm aluminium wire rods have diverse applications, primarily in electrical and power transmission, owing to their excellent conductivity, lightweight nature, and durability.

Vedanta Aluminium was the first company in the Indian aluminium industry to secure BIS certification for its extensive range of aluminium products. This latest certification is testament to the company?s commitment to unmatched product quality and continuous innovation in the aluminium industry.

Alongside the new BIS certification of 12 mm wire rods, BIS has re-certified six additional product categories: EC Ingots, Alloy Ingots, Primary Ingots, Rolled Sheets, Rolled Conductor Plates, and Rolled Plates for general engineering purposes ? all of which are produced at the company?s BALCO facility.
