RSTL launches 40,000 MT backward integration project

Rama Steel Tubes (RSTL) announced the initiation of an expansion project of 40,000 metric tonnes at its plant in Khopoli, Maharashtra. The expansion is in addition to the company's current installed capacity of 2,64,000 Metric Tonne Per Annum (MTPA).

In a statement, it was mentioned by Rama Steel Tubes that the company had begun a strategic backward integration expansion of 40,000 MTPA at its Khopoli plant in Maharashtra.

According to the statement, the project is planned to be completed by the end of FY25, with an investment of Rs 300 million, which will be financed through internal accruals.

Richi Bansal, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer of Rama Steel Tubes, stated, "They are establishing a cold rolling mill and galvanising steel sheet facility to meet the in-house raw material requirements. This is aimed at addressing the high demand for our specialised steel solutions, which find applications in the country's growing infrastructure and automobile sector."
