PM Modi to unveil multiple projects in Chhattisgarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced plans to lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at over Rs 260 billion in Jagdalpur, the divisional headquarters of the tribal Bastar division in Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister is also set to unveil NMDC's Greenfield Steel Plant, established at Nagarnar in Bastar, as a contribution to the nation. The steel plant, initiated by the public sector National Mineral Development Corporation-NMDC, situated in the tribal Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister today. The integrated steel plant, built at a cost of approximately Rs 240 billion, is designed to produce high-quality steel. It is expected that this plant, along with its associated industries, will create employment opportunities for thousands of individuals. The inauguration of this plant signifies a significant milestone for this tribal area, which was previously notorious for Maoist activities, as it now finds a place on the global steel industry map. In the course of his visit to Jagdalpur, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the upgradation of Jagdalpur Railway Station. Additionally, he will dedicate to the nation the new rail line connecting Antagarh and Taroki, as well as the double rail line project between Jagdalpur and Dantewada. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the train service between Taroki and Raipur. These initiatives are poised to enhance rail connectivity within the tribal region, fostering economic development in the area. Furthermore, the Prime Minister is set to unveil the new road constructed between Kunkuri and the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border on National Highway-45, further bolstering connectivity and development in the region.
