ESL to commission Bokaro plant

By the second half of October 2012, Electrosteel Steel (ESL) plans to commission its steel plant at Bokaro and operate blast furnaces, rolling mill and the steel melting and sinter unit at the plant. Commissioning of the plant and reduction in cost of production owing to increasing captive capacities will auger well for ESL. The company, with an integrated steel unit in Bokaro district of Jharkhand, was promoted by Electrosteel Castings (ECL) in 2006 and is involved in producing wire rods, TMT bars, DI Pipe and pig iron.
