Tripura CM Manik Saha stated his government's dedication to the state's holistic development and a target of 8% growth in the current fiscal year. Addressing the Independence Day event at Assam Rifles ground, he highlighted the BJP-IPFT government's commitment to health, education, infrastructure, and farmer welfare in the 2023-24 budget.

Saha affirmed the state's development trajectory, citing an 8.5% growth in the previous fiscal year. The government aims to exceed the projected national figure, aiming for 8% annual growth in 2023-24. He emphasized increased allocations for health, education, agriculture, and tribal welfare.

While the national real GDP growth for 2023-24 is projected at 6.5%, Saha detailed Tripura's comprehensive approach for overall advancement, including indigenous people's welfare, women's empowerment, industry, and infrastructure.

A budget of Rs 20 billion over the next five years will be dedicated to enhancing the education system. The recruitment of 8,420 teachers through TET and the establishment of two private universities have expanded higher education prospects.

Saha highlighted entrepreneurs' eagerness to invest in Tripura, with the Asian Development Bank contributing Rs 12 billion for industrial infrastructure development over the next five years.

The CM reiterated the government's commitment to realize the vision of "Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura," echoing the prime minister's slogan from the previous assembly polls.
