Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced that Kaling Moyong had been appointed as the new Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president for Arunachal Pradesh during an organisational meeting. Sonowal expressed confidence that Moyong’s dedication and hard work would strengthen the BJP in the state. He also noted that under the leadership of National President JP Nadda, Moyong was expected to play a significant role in enhancing the party’s influence and capabilities in Arunachal Pradesh.

Additionally, Sonowal revealed the selection of Yalem Taga Burang, Tagin Siga, and Kamrang Tesiya as Arunachal Pradesh’s representatives to the BJP National Council. He underscored their responsibility to support the BJP’s mission of advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a prosperous and self-reliant India.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, and BJP state in-charge Ashok Singhal. In his address, Sonowal highlighted the remarkable development in infrastructure and connectivity that Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast had experienced over the past decade, emphasising the region’s growing integration with the rest of the country.

Sonowal described the BJP as a party committed to inclusive development, equality, and prosperity for all. He remarked that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP-led NDA government had delivered a decade of transformative governance, overcoming corruption and mismanagement seen in previous regimes. He stated that this governance had built a globally recognized, thriving India.

Referring to Arunachal Pradesh as the “Land of the Rising Sun,” Sonowal praised the peace and progress achieved in the state. He highlighted advancements in tourism, infrastructure, and cultural preservation, crediting the Modi government’s initiatives for improving the quality of life across the nation and enabling citizens to live with dignity and opportunity.

Sonowal urged BJP workers to actively contribute to strengthening the party’s organizational framework in Arunachal Pradesh. He emphasised the government’s substantial investments in the Northeast, noting that Rs 5 trillion had been allocated to the region over the past decade—a historic commitment to its growth.

Concluding his remarks, Sonowal reaffirmed the BJP’s dedication to its “Nation First” philosophy. He called on everyone to align with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of making India one of the world’s top three economies, reiterating the party’s commitment to building a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous nation.
