F&CC approves jogging track in Sector 24 Park

The monthly Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation convened on Monday and approved various developmental agenda items, including the construction of a jogging track in Sector 24 park at an estimated cost of ?10 lakh. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Kuldeep Kumar and attended by Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar, committee members, and senior officers of the Municipal Corporation.

During the meeting, members discussed several significant agenda items in detail. The committee also approved the construction of an RCC toe wall along the windrow pad area at the 300 TPD composting plant in Dadumajra, at a cost of ?15.4 lakh. Additionally, arrangements for a Chhat Puja program in Indra Colony, Manimajra, estimated at ?7 lakh, were sanctioned.

Other approvals included a proposal for landscaping and the construction of a boundary wall to enclose an area after demolishing abandoned public toilets at Sector 25, with an estimated cost of ?17.33 lakh. The committee also greenlit a project to construct three public toilet blocks in three green belts located at Palm Park and four-story houses in Dadumajra, totaling ?49.77 lakh.

Furthermore, the committee approved an increase in the fee for advocates empaneled by the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in district courts, labor courts, permanent lok adalats, consumer forums, and other lower courts from ?7,000 to ?10,000 per case.
