Dabur India is constructing its largest manufacturing facility in MP

Dabur India Limited, a multinational consumer goods company, announced that construction on their upcoming largest manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh has begun at a cost of Rs 550 crore.

According to Dabur, the new unit will produce a variety of food products, ayurvedic medicines, and health supplements.

The firm revealed that the first phase of construction of the new unit, which has been planned under the Mega Projects Scheme of the state as well as the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme of the centre, is expected to be completed by the end of FY22.

The unit will employ around 1,250 people directly and indirectly in the first phase and over 3,000 people by the end of the final phase.

The chief executive officer of Dabur India, Mohit Malhotra asserted that this project is the largest single investment by the company in Madhya Pradesh and demonstrates their commitment to promoting the traditional science of Ayurveda.

As consumers sought more ayurvedic products and health supplements in the aftermath of the pandemic, demand for Dabur chyawanprash and honey increased. It has expanded its product line to include Dabur Red Pulling Oil, Dabur Anu Tailam, and other items.

The new facility, which will span 51 acres of land, will be the largest manufacturing facility for Dabur worldwide.

The executive director of Dabur, Shahrukh A Khan mentioned that the plant would have completely automated processing and packing lines, along with cutting-edge warehouse facilities, to improve supply chain and quality control.
