Aditya Birla Group's hospitality arm acquires four Top Restaurant Brands

Aditya Birla Group's hospitality division, Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality (ABNAH), has recently acquired a complete ownership stake in KA Hospitality (KAH), the parent company of the well-known Indian brand CinCin and the franchise rights of three other esteemed global restaurant brands.

This deal expands ABNAH's portfolio by incorporating four prestigious restaurant brands, including the renowned Michelin-starred Hakkasan, the award-winning Yauatcha, and the popular Nara Thai. These brands cover a wide range of customer segments, spanning from the mid-market to the premium segments.

Hakkasan is a critically acclaimed restaurant serving modern Cantonese cuisine, while Yauatcha is a celebrated dim sum teahouse originally from London. On the other hand, CinCin is an Italian lifestyle-inspired establishment, designed to capture the essence of Italian culture.

Aryaman Vikram Birla, Director, Aditya Birla Management Corporation and the founder of ABNAH, expressed confidence in the potential of the premium casual dining industry in India. He believes that the increasing disposable income and evolving lifestyles of Indian consumers create a fantastic opportunity for high-quality dining experiences.

"Our vision at Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality is to curate an unparalleled portfolio of food and beverage brands in the country. Bringing top-notch restaurants to discerning diners is a pivotal step towards realising this vision," Aryaman Vikram Birla added. The plan is to expand the presence of these brands and introduce their distinctive dining experiences to various cities across India.

KA Hospitality, founded by the late Kishor Bajaj in 2011, introduced Hakkasan and Yauatcha to Mumbai. After Karyna Bajaj took over as executive director in 2016, she brought in Nara Thai and created the homegrown brand CinCin. With a legacy spanning 12 years, KA Hospitality takes immense pride in passing the baton to ABNAH, entrusting them to carry forward and elevate the company's legacy.

As of now, ABNAH operates Jolie's, an exclusive members-only club located in Worli, Mumbai. However, the company plans to establish premium casual dining restaurant chains across various cities in India. With this recent acquisition, ABNAH has added a total of seven restaurants to its portfolio, now spanning three cities.
