Modi: India to build community hall at Bangladesh temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Indian government will undertake the construction work of a multi-purpose community hall at the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple in Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister, during his recent visit to Bangladesh, told the media that the Indian government will undertake the construction work of the multi-purpose community hall at the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peeths, scattered across India and in neighbouring countries.

Modi noted that many devotees from India come to pray at the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple during the Maa Kali Mela and said that such a multi-purpose community hall could become a shelter house during any disaster, especially cyclones. He said it could be useful even for social, religious, and educational events.

The Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple is a Hindu temple located at Ishwaripur, a village in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira in Bangladesh.
