Schindler partners with L&T TS for digital transformation

L&T Technology Services has been selected by Schindler as one of its key partners to offer innovative digital engineering capabilities. Schindler is a Switzerland based company that provides elevators, moving walks, escalators and similar services.

L&T Technology Services offer product development, innovation and engineering services that would help Schindler step up its digitalisation and connectivity initiatives. This will be a multi-year engagement for both.

According to Karl Heinz Bauer, CTO at Schindler, they aim to leverage digital technologies to introduce best-in-class solutions to all its customers and that they are keen to tap into the synergies that will arise from future collaboration with L&T.

Innovations including digital twin technology and advancements in wireless connectivity are leading to Industry 4.0 adoption in various sectors. Recently, LTTS won a $100 million multi-year contract in the US with a large oil and gas firm.
