PLI scheme needs expansion for drone development

With an objective of making India a worldwide drone centre, the government must build an ecosystem and expand the production-linked incentive (PLI) programme., as per a Nexgen Exhibitions report. Based on estimates from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the drone manufacturing sector in India is projected to grow from Rs 0.6 billion in 2020?21 to Rs 9 billion by 2025.
