Sai Estate Directors Arrested for Fraud in Mumbai

In a significant development in Mumbai's real estate sector, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police has apprehended Amit Wadhwani and Vicky Wadhwani, directors of Sai Estate Consultants. This arrest is linked to allegations of cheating and forgery. The duo is accused of criminal activities, marking Amit Wadhwani's third arrest in similar cases. The police action followed a complaint lodged at the Amboli police station in Andheri by Yogesh Lakhani, a film producer and director of Bright Outdoor Media. The complaint led to the registration of an FIR and subsequent arrests under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including cheating, forgery, and criminal breach of trust. The EOW is currently investigating multiple fraud cases against Wadhwani. This incident has raised concerns in the real estate community and highlights the need for stricter regulatory oversight to prevent such fraudulent activities.
