Prestige Group signs civil contract with L&T worth Rs 1,560 cr

Prestige Group told the media that it had signed a civil contract with Larsen and Toubro (L&T) worth Rs 1,560 crore for the buildings construction and infrastructure development at the Prestige City in Bengaluru.

The construction project work of Prestige Group includes the construction of towers and villas, having 6,768 apartments over 39 towers with an average of 30 levels high with four clubhouses and 149 villas. It also comprises building structures and finishes for a 13 million sq ft built-up area.

L&T Construction, the construction arm of L&T, has bagged a significant order for the company's building and factories business to construct a residential township in Bengaluru. The expected period to complete the project is 42 months, L&T told the media.

L&T Limited said that the company's project work includes designing and constructing the civil structure, including waterproofing, masonry, plastering and electrical works. Prestige Group has completed 250 projects with a total development area of 136 million sq ft, with 29 projects ongoing across segments, with 36 million sq ft development area. The company has a 34 million sq ft area under planning and has a potential development area of over 27 million sq ft.
