Furlenco launches UNLMTD, world's first furniture subscription service

Furlenco (a Kieraya Furnishing Solutions brand), India's first and largest furniture rental firm, today announced the introduction of "UNLMTD by Furlenco," the world's first furniture subscription service. The company last week announced closure of its series D funding of Rs 1000 crore ($ 140 MN).

The firm has rocked the Indian furniture market with UNLMTD by Furlenco and seeks to revolutionise the way the category thinks about its products. Customers all around the world furnish their houses in stages, adding furniture piece by piece and frequently compromising the quality of life they have now. UNLMTD enables clients to avoid these staggered and compromised purchases by allowing them to subscribe to anything they desire for a single fee.

UNLMTD allows customers to purchase all of their desired items - furniture and appliances - in one transaction. It now provides two yearly membership plans: Premium and Lite, which cost Rs 4999 per month for 15 goods and Rs 3999 per month for 9 products, respectively, and are paid annually.

This also implies that buyers will be able to furnish their whole home for a one-time membership cost, without compromising the selection or quality of furnishings available. The subscription includes over 150 goods, including designer furniture and appliances, that have been chosen to meet the practical and aesthetic requirements of a house. It also includes a 45-day trial period for clients to exchange and sample furnishings before making a decision.

It will also provide members the opportunity to give their home a fresh appearance every year or replace their furnishings as their lives change as a yearly subscription. Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Hyderabad, and Chennai are among the cities where the subscription service is now accessible.

Ajith Mohan Karimpana, Founder & CEO, Furlenco said, “Over the years we have learnt that people set up their homes, step by step over months and years - because of the financial strain and the time and effort it requires. We wanted to come up with a way to ensure our customer don’t have to compromise on what they want at home or the quality of it or the cost. And that was the genesis of UNLMTD. Here is a subscription service that offers all the products you want at a one-time annual fee. Be it a sofa or a bed or a washing machine or a lamp, you can take everything you want. This is truly disruptive and I believe it will change how our consumers, how the category and the world itself looks at furniture. The funds we have raised will play a critical role in this journey and fuel us in building the right kind of furniture subscription model for modern India.”

The Indian furniture rental business is presently valued at about $1-1.5 billion, with growth of $700-750 million projected by 2022-2023. Today's Millennials and Gen Zs are seeking for solutions that provide ease and flexibility while still being cost-effective.

Furlenco recognises this and has adjusted its services to meet the demands of different generations. Furlenco is rethinking B2C commerce and investing substantially in technology-first technologies to drive the shift in the furniture subscription and sharing economy market.

Furlenco has furniture packages for every area in the house, including living room furniture, beds, dining tables, study solutions, workstations, loungers, and much more. Customers of UNLMTD may now access this extensive product catalogue for a set yearly membership fee, allowing them to pick and select the product combinations that best fit their needs. Apart from furniture, Furlenco also rents out computers, microwave ovens, LED televisions, and washing machines, and has lately expanded its offerings to include two-wheelers, game consoles, and entertainment and exercise equipment.

FTC Solar sees 67% YoY decline in Q3 revenue from lower volumes

FTC Solar, a U.S.-based provider of solar tracker systems, reported a revenue of $10.14 million in the third quarter (Q3) of 2024, surpassing analyst expectations by $240,680. However, this figure marked a 66.8% year-over-year (YoY) decline compared to the same quarter in 2023, primarily attributed to reduced product volumes. The decline in solar tracker revenue was mainly due to an 82% decrease in the amount of MW produced, which was negatively impacted by delays in customer projects. This was partially offset by an increase in the average selling price (ASP), which led to better pricing an..
