Income tax dept searches Omaxe's premises in Delhi-NCR

The Income Tax department told the media that it conducted searches at multiple premises linked to real estate firm Omaxe Limited in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) region and a few other cities on tax evasion charges.

According to the officials, at least 30 locations in the Delhi-NCR region and a few others in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab are being covered where the officers of the income tax department are looking at the company documents and financial transactions primarily related to their real estate business.

Omaxe Limited is one of the leading real estate developers of Delhi-NCR. The company has a significant presence in similar product projects of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
