Dharavi: demand Maha. govt handles redevelopment project

On Wednesday, some Dharavi residents in Mumbai urged that the Maharashtra government take charge of the slum sprawl redevelopment project.

Local activists and the Aam Aadmi Party participated in an agitation at a location.

"The biggest land swindle is in Dharavi. We want a brand-new survey on the qualification standard.

We demand that all existing buildings be deemed suitable and that tenants be allocated 405 square foot homes in Dharavi. 59,000 structures were found in a survey done in 2008, but this figure has already surpassed one lakh, according to Aam Aadmi Party activist Sandip Katake.

The protest's organizers stated that the Mumbai Police had given their clearance in advance for the gathering.

Some of the demonstrators carried signs denouncing the Adani Group.

In addition, Katake demanded the creation of a special economic zone (SEZ), citing Dharavi as a city inside a city that is home to several small-scale firms and where 80% of the population depends on neighbourhood businesses.

FTC Solar sees 67% YoY decline in Q3 revenue from lower volumes

FTC Solar, a U.S.-based provider of solar tracker systems, reported a revenue of $10.14 million in the third quarter (Q3) of 2024, surpassing analyst expectations by $240,680. The decline in solar tracker revenue was mainly due to an 82% decrease in the amount of MW produced, which was negatively impacted by delays in customer projects.
