DEC Infrastructure emerges as lowest bidder for building Central Vista

According to a formal document, DEC Infrastructure, a construction company based in Hyderabad, has emerged as the lowest bidder for the project to construct the Executive Enclave, which will house the National Security Council Secretariat, India House, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The ambitious Central Vista Redevelopment Project is being carried out by the Narendra Modi government, and DEC Infrastructure and Projects (India) provided a quote for it that was approximately Rs 11.89 billion, or 10.44 per cent less than the Rs 13. 28 billion cost estimated by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

The anticipated price also includes five years' worth of upkeep and cleaning.

A new Parliament building is being built by Tata Projects, and their quoted price of Rs 14.07 billion is 5.97 per cent higher than the project's expected cost.

The document states that Larsen & Toubro offered a bid of around Rs 14.24 billion.

In addition to the PMO, the Executive Enclave will house the National Security Council Secretariat, India House, and the Cabinet Secretariat.

Similar to the Hyderabad House, where high-level discussions, particularly with top visiting leaders of different nations, are currently held, the India House will be used as a conference centre.
