Andhra Pradesh govt to train 1,300 surveyors to expedite land survey

The Andhra Pradesh government decided to give training to surveyors to accelerate the comprehensive land survey programme. Around 1,300 surveyors will undergo vigorous training in the districts.

The government planned to allocate senior moderators from the State Survey Training College in West Godavari district at Samalkot to the districts to launch the training session from August 26.

The government initially planned to provide training at State Survey Training College, Samalkot, but it was postponed. So the government decided to allot the officials from the training college to the districts as a part of the measures of Covid-19 containment.

The training programme was designed to give both on and off the field exposure of a comprehensive survey to staff in reaching targets.

Siddarth Jain, survey and land settlement commissioner, told the media that the surveyors would also be given thorough training in handling the latest gadgets.

He added that Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy believes the surveyors should be capable of resolving all the field-level issues with the help of the latest technologies and equipment, and the training programme would help them switch to the new technologies and complete the survey without any delay
