Duravit India fulfils the dreams of students. German sanitaryware brand Duravit is operating in Gujarat, India, since the last 10 years. This wholly owned subsidiary of Duravit AG, Germany, had launched the Smart Class Programme as part of its CSR initiative to drive the overall educational development in surrounding villages. The brand is doing amazing work for the education development in Gujarat.  Recently, Duravit converted the third school under its smart class programme at Shri LD Patel Vidhyavihar, (Moraj Kelavani Mandal Trust), Moraj Village. The smart class brand is upgrading another school named Tarapur Sarvajanik High School (Tarapur Kelavani Mandal), with basic facilities like drinking water and clean girls toilet. Duravit has associated with YUVA Unstoppable, among India’s leading NGO’s for the programme, which will be a boon for the students by influencing a technology integrated learning model.The initiativeSpeaking at the occasion, Asutosh Shah, Managing Director, Duravit India, conveyed: “Our mission is to covert 100 such schools through our CSR programme. Our initiative ‘The Smart Class Programme’ will benefit the underprivileged children. In this digitalised era, every child should be well versed with the latest technology. With the increasing presence of technology in our lives, a technology integration model in the schools can make learning more fun and impactful. This is the second school we have converted in the last two years, and we wish to do 100 such schools.”During the inauguration, Sandeep Soni, General Manager, Engineering & Administration, Duravit India, stated: “Basic education in rural area is essential. Our mission is to develop the primary and secondary schools in this region with basic infrastructure. Sanitation and good quality of drinking water should be compulsory for all schools to maintain the children’s health and hygiene. In addition, we are adding smart classes in every school. Such initiatives will become a gateway to connect rural students to a global platform.”Other facilitiesDuravit India not only equipped the schools with smart classes but also revamped the entire school. Here are the actions undertaken at two schools under the initiative:1.Shri LD Patel Vidhyavihar, (Moraj Kelavani Mandal Trust), Moraj, Tarapur. Facilities provided by Duravit India:  Smart Class Room: K Yan with white board with new 25 benches, colour work in side room and four new fans.  Water cooler and RO plant: Blue Star-made water coolers – 100 litre capacity; overhead shed (roof).       Girl’s toilet colour work and repairing.       Boy’s toilet paver block and colour work. 2.
