Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has announced a tender for a 1.07 MW rooftop solar project at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur in West Bengal. Adani Secures $2.89 Bn Renewable Energy Transmission Project
Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has secured the Rs 250 billion Bhadla-Fatehpur High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission project from REC Power Development and Consultancy’s (RECPDCL) to evacuate 6 GW of renewable energy. This project is part of a broader initiative aimed at evacuating an additional 20 GW of renewable power from Rajasthan’s renewable energy zones under Phase III Part I. Germany Hits Record with 16.2 GW Solar Capacity Added in 2024
Germany added a remarkable 16,179 MW of new solar capacity in 2024, marking a 7 per cent growth year-over-year, as reported by the Federal Network Agency, Bundesnetzagentur. This addition represented the highest annual solar installations ever recorded in the country. In 2023, Germany had added 14.2 GW of solar capacity, nearly doubling from 7.45 GW in 2022.
