Suzlon Group, a multinational wind turbine manufacturer based in Pune, has partnered with the Karnataka government to develop 3,000 MW of wind energy. The collaboration includes setting up an advanced wind turbine blade manufacturing facility in Vijayapura.

Vijayapura has become a prominent hub for large-scale investments, particularly in the renewable energy and agro-processing sectors, as showcased during the Invest Karnataka-2025 summit. The region is attracting significant projects that are expected to drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and promote sustainability.

Additionally, a notable investment in the region will come from Wings-Viterra, which plans to establish a cutting-edge multi-pulse processing plant. With an estimated investment of Rs 2.50 billion, this plant is projected to generate an annual turnover of over Rs 8 billion by its second year of operations. Once fully operational, it is set to become the largest pulse processing facility at a single location in South India, further contributing to the region's industrial growth and economic development.
