SolarArise, SJVN, and TPREL win Maharashtra’s 500 MW solar auction

SolarArise, SJVN Green Energy, and Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) have been declared the winners of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) auction to procure 500 MW of long-term power from Phase IX of grid-connected intrastate solar projects.

SolarArise quoted Rs 2.90 ($0.035)/kWh and won the capacity of 100 MW, followed by SJVN Green Energy, which quoted Rs 2.95 ($0.036)/kWh and won the capacity of 200 MW. Despite having bid 300 MW, Tata Power Renewable Energy was only allocated 200 MW after quoting Rs 2.97 ($0.0364)/kWh under the bucket-filling method.
