JSW Energy Board approves Rs 50 bn QIP raise

The approval for raising Rs 50 billion through the issuance of equity on a qualified institutional placement basis was given by the JSW Energy board led by Sajjan Jindal. The Finance Committee of the board has been authorised to make all necessary decisions in this matter.

It was mentioned that in its meeting, the JSW Energy board sanctioned a Qualified Institutions Placement of equity shares having a face value of Rs 10 each to eligible investors for a total amount not exceeding Rs 50 billion in one or more tranches, subject to the necessary regulatory/statutory approvals.
