J&K LG launches 22 power transmission and distribution projects

On Monday 22 power transmission and distribution projects worth Rs 216 crore were inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha at Samba.

Officials have said that the power infrastructure of Jammu and Kashmir, which was dilapidated for the past several decades, is now being transformed at a faster pace.

He added that the development nowadays is representing a giant stride in augmenting the capacity and improving the power supply to the consumers of various areas like Jammu, Udhampur, Hiranagar, Samba, Kathua, and the neighboring areas.

The occasion was termed historic for the people of the Samba district.The Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said that after waiting for 15 years the district also has a dedicated grid station.

Additionally, he said that they are firm in their resolve to provide pragmatic, practical, and viable solutions for strengthening power infrastructure in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
