We are delighted to partner with First Solar, a global provider of eco-efficient solar modules, as they begin their India journey. This partnership aligns with our endeavours to create a more sustainable future for the next generation. We are excited to be part of this transformative journey and look forward to contributing towards the nation's sustainable development goals.”
“Our fully vertically integrated manufacturing facility supports India’s ambitions of decarbonisation and energy security,” said Sujoy Ghosh, Vice President and Managing Director of First Solar in India.“INOX Air Products’ expertise in managing large-scale and complex engineering projects, and safely and reliably delivering industrial gases, made it a solid choice as a partner for this project.”
First Solar's new facility, expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2023 with an annual nameplate capacity of 3.4 gigawatts (GWDC), will manufacture high-efficiency solar modules.
First Solar’s responsibly produced, advanced thin film photovoltaic (PV) modules set industry benchmarks for quality, durability, reliability, design, and environmental performance. The company’s solar modules have the lowest carbon and water footprint of any commercially available PV module today, and it’s the first PV manufacturer to have its product included in the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) global registry for sustainable electronics.
