HPCL Invites Bids for 100 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh

Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd (HPCL), a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corp., has issued an invitation for bids to establish a 100 MW (AC) solar PV power project on a turnkey basis in Andhra Pradesh. The proposed project will be located at HPCL's site in Galiveedu, Annamayya. The project's scope of work encompasses design, engineering, supply (excluding PV modules), construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and five-year operations and maintenance of the solar PV installation.

The bidding process will conclude on December 15.

HPCL, a government-owned oil and natural gas company, aims to reduce its carbon footprint by expanding its renewable energy generation portfolio to 2.4 GW by 2027-28, up from 184 MW as of 2022-23. Additionally, the company targets a green hydrogen production capacity of 16,870 tpa by 2027-28, a significant increase from 3.5 tpa in 2022-23.
