EESL, APEPDCL Boost Energy Efficiency in Andhra Pradesh

State-owned Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) announced on Wednesday a strategic partnership with Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Ltd (APEPDCL) aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and conservation within the power distribution sector. This collaboration will be executed under the 'Energy Efficient Appliance Programme', designed to offer comprehensive energy efficiency solutions to both residential and institutional consumers served by APEPDCL.

The initiative will be promoted through APEPDCL's consumer portal, which will provide detailed information and raise awareness about the energy efficiency solutions available. Communication channels such as text messages and WhatsApp will also be utilized to ensure widespread consumer engagement.

In an official statement, EESL highlighted that the agreement with APEPDCL is a significant step towards fostering energy conservation. "EESL has signed an agreement with APEPDCL to promote the adoption of energy efficiency and enable energy conservation within the power distribution sector. The agreement aims to provide access to energy-efficient solutions, extending the benefits of savings on electricity bills for consumers at a large scale," the statement said.

The partnership underscores a commitment to sustainable energy practices and is expected to yield considerable benefits by reducing energy consumption and lowering electricity costs for consumers across Andhra Pradesh.
